Homebrew Beer Camp 2012
So you want to brew your own beer or maybe you’re currently a homebrewer and want to learn the secrets to making even better beer? Join The Inn at Cooperstown for their inaugural Homebrew Beer Camp. For 2012 the inn is featuring three homebrew beer camps, each with a different style of beer.
Professional brewer Wes Nick will guide you through the steps of homebrewing fine beers. Wes has been a homebrewer for 11 years and completed the UC Davis Professional Brewers Certification Program in 2005. Wes worked as a brewer for Brewery Ommegang for five years and currently works for Butternuts Beer & Ale and The Cooperstown Brewing Company. Wes is also the Vice President of our local homebrew club.
Marc Kingsley, owner of The Inn at Cooperstown, is an avid beer fan and has been homebrewing with Wes for over a year. Marc says “The ability to work with a professional brewer cannot be underestimated. Wes’s insight and experience allowed us to make excellent beers with malt extract kits. Once Wes helped me with the basic equipment, we were able to take those same malt extract kits and start being creative and making our own special beers.”
So whether you just want to see and experience the homebrew process or take your homebrewing skills to the next level, this beer camp is for you.
